NARAYAMA
The Narayama couture bridal ensemble is the result of an intensive creative process blending technical expertise, storytelling, and innovation. Created in collaboration with Pronovias Textiles through my university, this project was designed to push the boundaries of traditional bridalwear, offering a sophisticated and modern interpretation of layered construction.
The ensemble features:
- A full eight-panel corseted skirt, providing structured volume and elegance.
- A cascading moulage overlay, adding fluidity and movement.
- A tulle top and kimono-inspired overpiece, meticulously crafted to balance tradition with contemporary couture sensibilities.
Technically inspired by the intricate layering techniques of the Heian period, specifically the jūnihitoe, the design integrates elements of historical Japanese fashion without replicating its cultural or ceremonial significance. This influence served as a foundation for exploring advanced pattern-making techniques and construction methods, resulting in a harmonious blend of structure and softness.
This inspiration is deeply rooted in an exploration of sources such as Kimono: The Art and Evolution of Japanese Fashion by Anna Jackson, and the cinematic masterpiece The Ballad of Narayama.

Collection name: ASTghIK
This is an S/S collection that revolves around the skin and its many variants. Conceptually thought to be the result of a series of sensations suggested by two musical pieces that are part of the film La piel que habito, a film directed by Spanish director Pedro Almodovar. The two songs are: Alberto Iglesias - Los Vestidos Desgarrados and Alberto Iglesias - Una Patada en los Huevos.

In the film we observe the evolution of a body that metamorphoses into another because of an imposed circumstance, which I wanted to capture through the garments. The body is torn, broken and unravels, a fact that is reflected in the broken and torn of the collection cooked well by strings, representing the emotional ties that people are used to create to solve the problems that we face in our day to day. The music suggests a series of movements and moods that are evident in the garments, however, in the same way that all writers have a bias, so do artists, and I do not hide when I say that the lines that have drawn the garments are not full of subjective emotions to which the music has transported me.
Regarding the aesthetics, I have tried to create a space in which the garment develops organically, these are after all representations of what is hidden under the skin, but this time taken to the outside, therefore, these emotions are not perfect geometric figures but adapt to the body as best they can from them emerge other emotions represented by other tissues and even oppress the wearer.

NAUSICAÄ
Nombre de colección: NAUSICAÄ from War to Environmentalism
Se trata de una colecciÓn inicialmente pensada para F/W muy inspirada en NAUSICAÄ del Valle del Viento, una película de animaciÓn japonesa creada por Hayao Miyazaki en 1984. Esta pelÍcula marco mucho mi infancia principalmente por su mensaje que aunque es un tema recurrido por muchos no podría alejarse más de lo banal. La película cuenta la historia de esta princesa que vive en una era mil años después de una horrible guerra apocalíptica conocida como los "Siete dÍas de fuego", la humanidad apenas sobrevive a orillas de un bosque contaminado con gases y esporas tóxicas e insectos mutantes gigantes que cubren gran parte de la Tierra, situación que fue provocada por la guerra.
La cuestiÓn es que gracias a esta pelÍcula la temÁtica que envuelve mi colecciÓn tratara no tanto de una mera celebración de la vida ni hablará de lo bonita que es loa naturaleza, sino que mÁs bien tratarÁ la crÍtica a una sociedad negligente que aunque tropieza una y otra vez con la misma piedra no es capaz de enderezar su camino. Es la concienciaciÓn e introspecciÓn del ser humano en las consecuencias más bien que las causas. Pretendo plantear una colecciÓn de ambientaciÓn distÓpica en la que la humanidad ya no es la especie dominante. Se explica mediante una historia de colores de la tierra, beige y verdes que aunque evaden a la naturaleza tienen un segundo plano tÓxico y apocalíptico. Se tarta de explicar las consecuencias no pretender que todo irÁ bien, y prendas a las que se les ha dado un nuevo significado. Es un momento de buscar en nosotros y encontrar esa conexiÓn que nos enlaza con nuestro planeta, la huella que ha dejado la tierra en nosotros no tanto como la que nosotros dejamos en ella. Se trata de desafiar y provocar la reacciÓn de la sociedad mediante el rechazo a una visión negligente de la situación actual, esta es la única manera de obtener una respuesta obvia.
